About meI am an assistant professor in the Department of Plant Sciences in the Faculty of Agricultural and Food Sciences at Université Laval (Québec, Canada). I was recruited in 2024 as part of the new Partnership Research Chair in Ecosystem Restoration.
As a biologist by training, I obtained my PhD in plant biology from Université Laval in 2018, which included a research internship in South Korea. I then worked as a postdoctoral researcher at Université Laval in the Peatland Ecology Research Group from 2019 to 2021, and continued there until 2024. My research program at Université Laval aims to deepen our understanding of plant regeneration processes in boreal ecosystems. In particular, I seek to better understand the influence of factors controlling the dynamics of regeneration and plant succession in disturbed ecosystems, including interspecific interactions, plant dispersal constraints, and environmental filters. My research program uses a comprehensive combination of experimental data and observational results from mesocosms and field studies. |
